New Technology in Action During Cadet Singer Rehearsal

Lower School music teacher, Kevin Pierce, attended the Texas Music Educators Association Conference in Austin in February and learned many new and innovative ways to teach and engage students during class.  He recently utilized one of the exciting new programs called Soundslice during his Cadet Singer’s rehearsal to help his students learn new choral music for their next concert. When asked about this new music technology software, Kevin Pierce explained, “Soundslice is a web-based music program that allows students a free account to view music uploaded by their teacher in a real-time, on-the-fly environment.  With the use of pre-synced audio and video files, students can see their music come to life as each notes lights up as the music plays right on their PC, tablet, and mobile device web browser.”  Students were thrilled with the new technology and already parents are asking for the link so that students can sing with the online score at home!
