Prayer: Praises and Requests
From the desk of Ginger Bell, Director of Family and Alumni Relations:
I’m sharing a special prayer request with you this week. Earlier this week, Miss Emma Davis, 3rd grade, broke her right arm…again. Emma has Fibrous Dysplasia and the fracture is going through the largest of the 4 bone tumors. Her mom, Wendy, says Emma is being such a trooper about it but no one in Tyler can treat it and they couldn’t get into the orthopedic specialist at Children’s in Dallas until Friday. We are praying especially for safe travel AND for quick healing with no surgery.
Her whole family is so grateful for the prayers already spoken for them. Wendy says, “I’m so grateful for all of the support and prayers. Fibrous Dysplasia is a chronic and progressive disease. For some it gets so bad that they choose to have the afflicted limb amputated, and for those that aren’t familiar with the situation, this is her right arm and she is right handed. When Emma had her checkup appointment in 1st grade, the orthopedic surgeon had said back then that her disease had not progressed. He said what he was seeing on the X-ray was a miracle and there was no other explanation for it. I told him about Brook Hill and how most of the school was praying for her. He gave all the glory to God and said it worked. Now that her disease has picked back up and is getting more aggressive, it’s time to lift this little girl back up in prayer.”
Thank you, again, for joining together in prayer for the Davis family.
