Prayer – Praises and Requests

From the desk of Ginger Bell, Director of Family and Alumni Relations:

Do you have a praise for answered prayer or a request for prayer you would like to share?  Simply put the details in an email to me at [email protected] and I will gladly share it with our community.  We certainly know the power of prayer since Brook Hill is a shining example of such.

I recently received an email from BH teacher, Mrs. Brooks letting me know one of our alumni, Sage Tyra ’11, needs our prayers.  Her son, Cameron, who was diagnosed with cancer shortly after his birth, “must now begin radiation for a newly found cancerous tumor. He was declared cancer free not long ago after surgery and chemotherapy, so this was startling for Sage. She has grown so much in her faith and has proven to be an incredible mom and wife in such hard times. She is still in school too…amazing young woman. Please keep Sage, her husband, and Cameron in your prayers. (I believe Cameron is about 1 and ½ years old).”  We were honored to have Sage and Cameron on campus last week where several of the upperclassmen had asked to have prayer for that family.  What an awesome experience for all our students.  Some of our students have not grown up around a praying heart and this was prayer in action!

Thank you for covering this young family in prayers and for continuing to pray for our school as we strive to honor God’s commands.
