7th Grader’s in Mrs. Mattay’s class used QR codes to learn about the Civil War in class this week. Mrs. Figueroa also did this activity with her 6th graders to learn about Ancient Egypt.

Students divided up into groups of two and visited different stations around the classroom. Armed with a clipboard, pen and paper, student scanned codes that took them to websites, documents, images, and videos about their subject. From geography, to culture, to politics, to causes and outcomes, students used these stations to discover and learn more about their subject. Students then shared their findings with the class as they reviewed the various material they had learned together.
