Samantha Anderson of The Brook Hill School in Bullard, Texas was recently named Academic All-American Highest Honorable Mention by Prep Volleyball for her performance on the court and in the classroom.

This Central Arkansas signee averaged 4.6 kills, 1.6 blocks and 1.6 digs per set in 2014. Anderson was a TAPPS 4A All-State Second Team pick, as well as the District Offensive Player of the Year. In the classroom she sports a 3.68 GPA and earned Texas Volleyball All-State Academic honors in each of the last two years. “Sam is a physical player who posed a huge threat to opposing team’s attackers,” said one area observer. “She is a shutdown pin blocker who also has a heavy arm swing. Sam also produces in the classroom and seeks out leadership opportunities as shown by her involvement with the National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
