SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR ARCTIC ADVENTURE WEEK

This week we have had so many fun opportunities for memory-making as we celebrated Book Fair Week!

Monday we kicked off with pajama day encouraging our students to “get cozy” with a good book! Students brought their favorite stuffed animal and were allowed to shop the book fair in their jammies! We’re hoping that this encourages our little readers to get cozy with their own books at home this winter too.

Tuesday, we kept things chili in the Arctic Circle and asked students to invite their parents for lunch to enjoy a hotdog with chili. Thursday morning we warmed up with a cup of hot cocoa and created space for our students to “Chill out with a good book” at our Mom & Me morning event!

As we look for ways to make reading fun and a lifelong habit, we hope that fun activities like these, moments where they have positive memories attached to pursuing the aisles of books, just might lead our students to feel that same excitement when they walk the aisle of a bookstore in the future!

Thank you to our parents for participating, and to our Lower School Library Media Specialist, Ila England, for coordinating such a fun week!
