Spelling Bee

Five Brook Hill Middle School students competed in the District Spelling Bee on Friday. BH representation included sixth graders Riley Hill and Katelynn Henics, seventh graders Rachel Berkley and Ruby Timmons, and eighth grader Ali Koenig.

The students competed in a grade-level Bee followed by a Final Spelldown with the top four performers from each grade level. Rachel Berkley won first place in the 7th grade Bee and competed in the Spelldown. Ruby Timmons placed 3rd in the 7th grade Bee,  but earned a whopping 3rd place in the Spelldown. Because of her high finish, Ruby has been invited to compete in the Regional Spelling Bee in March.

Congratulate these young students on their hard work and success!
