After growing up in Southern California, Barry enlisted in the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power Program in early 1984, afterwards completing 16 years operating naval and commercial reactor power plants. During this time, he found his love and calling to ministry, and in total has worked 28 years in pastoral ministry, having spent 7 of those years as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Fallbrook in Fallbrook, California.

Along with a B.S. in Sociology, Barry is also a graduate of the Grossmont College Police Academy, and has 9 years of law enforcement experience, as well as several years’ experience working as a Texas PPO (Personal Protection Officer).

He is married to Amparo, and together they enjoy their family, which now includes 5 grandsons. Barry is an author and podcaster, and as a professional hobby enjoys leading tours to Israel, and finds great enjoyment in helping others develop a Biblical worldview.
