STEM Activities at The Lower School

JELLYBEANS, ICE CREAM CONES, AND SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS WERE ALL A PART OF TODAY’S STEM ACTIVITIES IN KINDERGARTEN.

Students wrapped up their week of learning with hands-on activities and exploration. Students have been studying the letters I, J and K this week so teachers used items like jellybeans to conduct a science experiment that looked at the effect warm water has on the color of the beans. They also used ice cream cones to build towers and structures.

Pairing language learning with STEM activities is just one of the fun ways our teachers are creating a holistic learning environment for our students and we couldn’t be more thankful for the time they invest in coming up with lessons and learning moments like this!
