Student Leadership Retreat
On Thursday, October 3, a group of 37 US students spent their school day at the new girls boarding house, learning about leadership. The event used the large common room at the boarding house as a meeting space, and students learned about their spiritual gifts, the importance of influence, how to identify priorities, and how to make a leadership contribution.
After lunch, student council members met to begin making plans for the year, and non-student council members met to experience “trust recreation.” All students who chose to run for a student council position were invited to this year’s retreat, even if they were not elected to a specific position.
