Temperature Lab

Students have been learning about renewable, nonrenewable and inexhaustible resources in 6th grade earth science.  In order to better understand the power of solar energy, students went outside to record temperature changes on three different surfaces over a period of 15 minutes.  Temperatures were recorded for sandy soil, grassy soil and a mixture of soils. It was good practice reading a thermometer while enjoying the energy of the Sun.
