Volcano Lab

6th Grade students in Jenny Wallace’s science class learned how volcanic eruptions form land. Students simulated an eruption using baking soda and vinegar, then mapped out how the lava would have dried and formed land with Play-Doh. Tomorrow students will use another group’s lab and determine through observation and reason the order in which the layers formed. What a great way for our students to not learn about science, but to DO science!
