This past weekend our boarding students had a variety of opportunities. Almost 40 students went with Mrs. Welty to the movies on Saturday, enjoying the day off with their friends. The weather was also surprisingly warm and beautiful on Saturday, so Mrs. Albea took a group of students to Tyler State Park to enjoy hiking trails and the beautiful lake. Students chose to cruise the lake on a paddle boat or enjoy being out in nature on one of the park’s trails. Afterwards, students went with Mrs. Albea to Stanley’s Famous BBQ for delicious smoked meats you can only find in Texas.

On Sunday night, Mrs. Albea also took a group of students to FD’s Grillhouse to celebrate Dayo’s birthday! It was a fun evening and full of delicious food! Mr. Ramirez also held an indoor softball game. in the gym. Students made two teams of 8 and had a lot of fun!
