Why Brook Hill?  Because of Teachers Like Mrs. Utz!

MRozell(TA)-2

From the desk of Michelle Rozell, Upper School Principal:

Each year the MS/US faculty selects one of its own to recognize as the Teacher of the Year.  The selected teacher represents the embodiment of our school’s mission—excellence, rigor, care, and true faith.  In the past we have recognized exceptional professionals, and this year’s selection is an amazing addition to this tradition.  This year’s winner has truly made a mark on Brook Hill with high standards and exceptional investment in our students.  Pushing students to engage with another language and culture, to think critically and to learn deeply, she has helped to blaze a new path for our upper school Spanish program.  This year’s Brook Hill Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Ronda Utz!

Ronda has the perfect “teacher blend” of professionalism and heart!  She has mixed that with her passion for the Spanish language and culture taking the department to a new place with the TPRS (total physical response storytelling) method and it is a winning formula for The Brook Hill School!  Her personal life is compatible with her love for the Lord and it shows in her interactions with her students!  She is a great choice for Teacher of the Year in all these aspects!

Hurray and Congratulations Ronda Utz!  Bravo and Well-done!
