We were blessed to have Mrs. Louise Ornelas as our special guest speaker at “A Mother’s Heart” women’s luncheon on Tuesday.  The luncheon served as the kick off to the Hearts to Brook Hill Spring Fundraising Campaign benefiting The Brook Hill Fund.  Mrs. Ornelas has played a major role in the success of Brook Hill from the beginning, showing her never ending love to the school over and over again.  She has spent countless hours in prayer for the students, faculty and families over the years and continues to support Brook Hill today through prayer and philanthropic giving.  Over 140 women came together to enjoy a nice lunch and heard testimonies from a current Brook Hill mom, Pam Ballenger, an alumni mom, Linda Dickey and a current Brook Hill senior Miss Jazmen Jones.  Each woman shared their own story of how Brook Hill has impacted them and their families.

Middle School principal Tammy Hayes said the luncheon was “absolutely one of the best events ever at Brook Hill. It had all the touch points needed and made me remember why I love Brook Hill!”  New Brook Hill mom, Julie Livesay said, “The luncheon today was fabulous!  I enjoyed every minute of it!” If you were able to make it, thank you for attending.  Your presence was important and so appreciated.

If you missed the luncheon, there is still time to be involved with the campaign.  Next week is “Families Give Their Heart to Brook Hill Week”.  You should have already received a special heart with your family name on it.  Please fill out the enclosed card by checking the appropriate box and return it with your heart by next Friday.  The Hearts will be displayed on both campuses.

It is because of so many wonderful families that Brook Hill has a strong reputation and is making such a positive impact on the community, not only right here in East Texas, but also around the world.
