Three young ladies from Brook Hill were asked to speak at the Zonta Club of Longview’s monthly meeting this past week. Valerie Ofuokwu, Florencia El Hay and Jasmin Jokisch spoke about their countries and what brought them to Brook Hill. The Zonta Club members were inspired and overwhelmed with the professionalism and heartfelt stories these outstanding young ladies offered.

Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.  In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
