Collins Winegeart welcomes baby sister, Emma

From the desk of Ginger Bell, Director of Family and Alumni Relations:

With the end of the school year fast approaching, and the prospect of sending our seniors off on the next leg of their journeys, I have been reflecting on years past.  It is always bittersweet for us to say “see you later” to our graduates, and I must admit tears have been shed quite frequently.  But, as time passes and we see how these young people are living their lives away from Brook Hill, it’s most gratifying to see them living out their lives as we would hope. Some of the most recent occurrences  include: Lonnie Amaya, ’04, completed 2 years of med school last month and is now on to rotations in Chicago; Kyle Heingartner, ’05, married Macie Maxwell last month; Jenna Sharawi Winegeart, ’06, and husband, Blake, gave daughter Collins a sweet baby sister named Emma; Joe Fryman, ’07 has accepted a position as Field Representative in the office of Andy Barr in the US House of Representatives;  Jeremey Chappelle, ’10, graduated last week from Mississippi State last week with his Bachelor’s Degree and moves on to North Eastern Oklahoma State to continue his schooling and his football career; Wade Karam, ’12, was just named one of the two 2015-2016 Brad Davis SEC Community Service Award Winners. It is so rewarding to see how our “children” go on to become such productive citizens in their communities.  I’m eager to see what this year’s seniors do in the coming years!  Stay tuned!
