Bus Postcard (Front)

From the desk of Tony Welty, Director of Operations:

For the 2016/17 school year, The Brook Hill School is pleased to offer a new transportation service for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Each morning of the school week, Brook Hill will send two buses into Tyler and one bus into Jacksonville to collect students. Each bus will be driven by a CDL (“Commercial Driver’s License”) carrying employee of The Brook Hill School and the program will be directed and overseen by the school’s new Transportation Coordinator, Mr. Bill Littlefield.

There will be two morning runs on each of the three routes each day. The first run (or Early Run) will collect Middle School students and will deliver them to the Brook Hill campus by 7:10am in time for Middle School Athletics.

The Early Run routes and schedules:

Route 1:

Arrive First Christian Church – Tyler 6:25am (Depart 6:30am)
Arrive Colonial Hills Baptist Church – Tyler 6:40am (Depart 6:45am)

Route 2:

Arrive Lanes Chapel UMC – Tyler 6:45am (Depart 6:50am)

Route 3:

Arrive First Baptist Church – Jacksonville 6:40am (Depart 6:45am)

The second run (or Normal Run) will collect Lower School, Middle School and Upper School students and deliver them to the Lower School Campus and Upper/Middle School Campus by 8:10am and 8:15am, respectively.

The Normal Run routes and schedules:

Route 1:

Arrive First Christian Church – Tyler 7:35am (Depart 7:40am)
Arrive Colonial Hills Baptist Church – Tyler 7:50am (Depart 7:55am)

Route 2:

Arrive Lanes Chapel UMC – Tyler 7:45am (Depart 7:50am)

Route 3:

Arrive First Baptist Church – Jacksonville 7:40am (Depart 7:45am)

On Wednesday mornings, the Early Run routes will run at the same time as they do on the other days of the week. However, due to weekly Chapel Schedule the Normal Run will run one (1) hour later than it does on the other days of the week.

The cost for the morning busing service is $120 per month for the first child riding the bus and $108 per month for each sibling riding the bus. Payments can be made annually, bi-annually or monthly via bank draft or online payment.

A 2 or 3 day per week riding option will be made available depending on seat availability on each of the different buses. Pricing for the part-time riding service will equate to $6 per day. So, for example, a child riding the bus two (2) days per week would pay $12 per week ($48 per month).
