Spanish 1 students used the school’s Surface Pro tablets to practice high-frequency words in Spanish. The class worked through an assignment in Moodle, the school’s learning management program, to use their new Spanish vocabulary in a fun format. The students were also introduced to Señor Wooly, a new language learning program that utilizes funny musical videos with high-frequency Spanish words and phrases. The program constantly circles the students through a series of activities to create opportunities for frequent repetitions ultimately leading to language acquisition. Señor Wooly will be used both in the Spanish 1 classroom as well assigned as homework.
