Graduation: A Mixed Bag

RodFletcherPortraits(TA)-11

From the desk of Rod Fletcher, Headmaster:

One of the hardest things for me as Headmaster is that I must experience graduation each year.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the ceremony and the celebration.  And I love seeing students ready and excited for the next step in the journey.  But I get sad each year because I feel like I am losing part of my family – I don’t want to see them leave.

I love our students, and I love interacting with them and enjoying their company on a regular basis.  They make a tremendous impact on me and it is hard at this time of the year to imagine the school without them.  The only thing that makes it bearable is that I am so proud of them and I always have a sense that they are going to thrive at the next level – that we are sending them off prepared academically, socially, and spiritually.  Without that sense, graduation would be intolerable.

I LOVE THESE STUDENTS!!
