Emily Baldwin
Emily is excited to be joining the Brook Hill family after an eight-year long adventure of teaching and ministry in New Mexico. After growing up in East Texas, she graduated from Lindale High School in 2011. She then obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English and Associate’s degree in Bible from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. From there, she and her husband, Matt moved to Artesia, New Mexico, where she taught English and he worked as a student pastor. She then received her Master’s degree in English and teaching certification from Eastern New Mexico University.
Emily has taught in the public-school setting as an 8th grade ELA teacher for six years, and a high school ELA teacher for two. She is thrilled to be able to continue sharing the love of Jesus with young people and she knows that God has an incredible plan for this school year. She and Matt currently live in Bullard with their young daughters—Eleanor (class of 2038) and Lucy (class of 2041)—and their two dogs. She loves reading, spending time with her family, drinking coffee, talking, and playing board games.
