5th graders had the unique opportunity to discover what an owl eats in science class this week. Students began by learning about owls and their diets, and then by the end of class that got to dissect owl pellets and discover the bones from animals that had been consumed by the owl. Students enjoyed discovering ribs, talons and skulls and trying to put all the pieces together to form a skeleton. Students then sought to identify what kind of animal the owl had eaten for dinner!
