Basketball: Lady Guard finish season with playoff loss

CEDAR HILL — The Brook Hill girls battled all season to make it into the playoffs, but could not keep up with Cedar Hill Trinity Christian in a 71-25 TAPPS 5A bi-district loss.

Lady Guard coach Ivan Johnson said he was proud of his team’s fight and unwillingness to quite after falling behind early by double digits, but added “our slow start, cold shooting and turnovers proved too much to overcome.”

AD Kuechle led the Lady Guard with 10 points in the loss.
