Boarding students stay busy on the weekends

From the desk of Shawn Rhoads, Director of Residence Life:

There was no lack of activity this past weekend for the boarding students. Take a look!

Friday night students had the options of going to basketball games against one of our local rivals or going to Fresh for gelato, coffee, taco, sandwich, salad bar or items from the bakery.

On Saturday students didn’t have to choose. They could go to the movies early in the afternoon with Mr. Moore AND then go out for a local favorite, Stanley’s Bar B Q, that evening with the Dulany’s.

The fun kept coming on Sunday with laser tag after dinner followed by the weekly rousing round of dodge ball, headed up by Mr. Wilson. And we ended the long weekend on Monday with a trip to the Northpark Mall in Dallas with Mr. Moore, on Martin Luther King Day.

This is not atypical for a boarding weekend here at Brook Hill. There is always something happening for our kids to take part in. And soon we will be opening our Coffee Cabin, giving our students yet another outlet for fun and entertainment. Watch for upcoming updates on this exciting addition. Lots of great things going on at the Brook Hill Boarding School.
