Guard middle school soccer out of gates strong

The debut of Brook Hill boys middle school soccer has yielded victories and a lot of goals.

BHMS edged Tyler Grace Community 3-2 before trouncing Tyler All Saints 4-0.

Zakhar Zapolskyy provided a hat trick in the Guard’s win over Grace with keeper Adam Bell delivering five saves.

The win over All Saints featured another BHMS hat trick, this time from Josh Collins. Collins also had an assist while Zapolskyy added to his season tally with a goal and an assist.

Goals were also scored by Zapolskyy, Jake Shaffer and Jackson Faith. Other assists were from Beaux Christian.

The winning run came to an end against Tyler Bishop Gorman MS which defeated the Guard 3-1. Zapolskyy scored for BHMS off an assist from Collins. Bell finished with seven saves.

BHMS is back in action Monday with a rematch against All Saints. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Mewbourne Stadium in Tyler.
