Lady Guard JV 1 defeats Frankston in three games

The Brook Hill JV 1 volleyball team pulled out a hard-fought three set win over Frankston on Tuesday at Herrington Gymnasium.

The Lady Guard won the first set 25-15 in comfortable fashion, but were pegged back in the second set by Frankston to fall short, 25-22. This set up a winner-take-all third set that Brook Hill emerged victorious from, 16-14.

Sophomore outside hitter Madeline Reed proved too much for Frankston to handle with Reed leading the Lady Guard with nine kills in the victory.

Junior Autumn Webb and sophomore KeAirra Christopher registered four kills apiece and sophomore libero Kaitlyn Juarez led the Lady Guard defense with 18 digs with sophomore Kasey Anderson finishing with 11 digs.

Brook Hill’s serving proved to be too much for Frankston to handle in the match with the Lady Guard combining to serve 19 aces. Anderson led the way with six aces with freshman Caroline Welty finishing with four aces.
