Scott Ryle came to Brook Hill from Atlanta, Georgia, and serves as our Academic Advocate and Head Football Coach. Mr. Ryle served on a recon team in Iraq, and we celebrate Mr. Ryle’s brave service for his country on this Veterans Day.

Coach Ryle assists our boarding students by keeping an eye on all boarding students’ grades, especially those who are struggling in one or more classes, monitoring their progress on a weekly basis. He seeks out those students who are struggling to learn what exactly is causing them to struggle in a particular class. Ryle attends meetings with students, teachers, Mr. Rhoads (Director of Res Life), Mrs. Mize (Director of Academic Center for Excellence), Mrs. Rozell (Upper School Principal) and house parents to offer his direction, advice and assistance in helping students raise their grades. He also follows up with struggling students, most often on a daily basis, to plot their progress and continue to encourage and assist them in their pursuit of academic success

Coach Ryle is one of the many individuals put in place by Brook Hill to see that your child succeeds academically. He lives up to his title, as he is one of the greatest advocates students have here on campus. He cares deeply for the academic success of our boarding students, as is evidenced by how seriously takes this role and how diligently he pursues these students. You can encourage your child to seek out Mr. Ryle for academic assistance, but the great likelihood is that he has already reached out to them. Brook Hill and your child are blessed to have Coach Ryle as a member of the dedicated team of faculty and staff here to help your child have all they need to succeed.
