Middle school art students will have their pieces showcased at Tyler Museum of Art’s Day of the Dead celebration

Brook Hill Middle School students will have their art work displayed at the Tyler Museum of Art’s annual Day of the Dead celebration. There will be an artist’s reception the weekend prior to the actual Day of The Dead. The Day of the Dead is November 1st and 2nd. Brook Hill has participated in this exhibit for the past two years and this year will be no different. Students from all over the eastern region of Texas participate in this celebration. The Day of the Dead, though it is near Halloween, and uses skull imagery is in no way part of Halloween. The Day of the Dead is a Mexican celebration of life that is designed to celebrate loved ones who have passed away.

Dates of the reception and exhibit will be posted when they are released by the Tyler Museum of Art.
