^Eighth graders were able to see the evidence firsthand of how food chains work in the animal world by dissecting a quail and observing what they found in the crop and gizzard of the quail.

These quail were provided to Brook Hill by the Texas Wildlife Association L.A.N.D.S program which Mrs. Wallace attended last summer. Efforts are being made to educate Texans about the habitat of quails in hopes of increasing the quail population in Texas.
