Earning College Credit at Brook Hill

BrianNelson(TA)-2

From the desk of Brian Nelson, Dean of Academics:

Preparing students for college is serious business at Brook Hill.  We have intentionally designed our academic program to build students’ skills and knowledge and to transition students into the collegiate environment.  One of the most distinctive aspects of our academic program is our extensive opportunities for students to earn college credit while in high school.  Our dual credit program is one of the most robust in all of East Texas with the availability of 57 college hours spread over our different academic departments.  All of our students have access to these courses; in fact, students have the option to earn 18 college hours simply by successfully completing our required courses.

Our alumni have voiced the significant advantage of entering college with some college hours under their belts.  I encourage our current students to consider these opportunities as they are planning their 2016-2017 class schedule.
