Second graders are studying the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian who was born  in the Netherlands in 1872.  After  learning that he was known for painting with vivid colors, Mrs. Renaud, our new lower school art teacher, taught students about primary colors. Then, the second graders incorporated their newfound knowledge to begin painting with beautiful colors.
