A thread runs through it

From the desk of Ginger Bell, Director of Family and Alumni Relations:

Service to others is a priority for Brook Hill. One of the original pillars on which we were founded is character. Loving and serving others are hallmarks of lives filled with character.

Kendell Wells, ’14, just returned from serving in Uganda with Parental Care Ministries (PCM) through Green Acres Baptist Church. And, do you know what? Kendall became acquainted with PCM when the children’s choir began coming to Brook Hill years ago!

In addition, her soccer team from Dallas Baptist University sponsors a child through PCM, and she got to meet her while there! Kendall related that also while she was there, she saw an elderly man wearing a Brook Hill homecoming shirt! How delightful is that?

Our world is growing smaller and smaller every day, wouldn’t you say! Isn’t that all the more reason to reach out in love and service to others? And speaking of a small world and service…I find it interesting our Middle and Upper School service project this year is a water well for Uganda! And, Miss ‘Wells’ just shared this story. Coincidence, I think not. Thank you, Kendall, for sharing your gifts and reminding us of God’s magnificent plan.
