ACSI Creative Writing Announcement
The Brook Hill School entered 13 students from Middle School and Upper School in the ACSI Creative Writing Contest in January 2017. Students submitted original works to their humanities teachers in four categories: rhymed poetry, free verse poetry, short story and essay. The top two entries from each category were then submitted to the district contest. The top three winners in each category/division at district will advance to regional competition. There are 6 states in the regional contest. The following students have advance to regional contest:
Middle School Division
Rhymed Poetry:
1st Place: Mattie Cheatham “The Willow Tree”
2nd Place: TyJuan Cannon “Deep Love”
Short Story:
1st Place: Heather Kroell “Last Fall Leaf”
Essay:
1st Place: Noah Langemeier “Where Justice is Found”
High School Division
Free Verse Poetry:
1st Place: Yiling Cao “Home”
