Tyler Baker, ’11

From the desk of Ginger Bell, Director of Family and Alumni Relations:

On Monday, January 5, Tyler Baker, ’11 returned to Brook Hill to share with the Middle and Upper School faculty during Staff Development.  Tyler graduated from Washington State in December with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing.  However, he is staying at Washington for another year and will earn his second degree in Communications.  Tyler is an amazing athlete and due to injuries his Freshman year, he still has a year of eligibility in football, so he can take care of both next year.  Be looking for him to catch more touchdowns next year!

Tyler spoke with us about the impact Brook Hill had on his life.  How the male teachers and coaches had helped lead him to become a “Man of God” by their example.  He spoke to the excellence in academics that had him fully qualified for the college classroom, and that he even had to help many teammates with their college papers!  Way to go, Humanities Department!  His words were so affirming about what we do at Brook Hill and helped get us all ready for this new semester and ready to see how God was going to impact this group of students!
