Spencer Hagen and friend

From the desk of Ginger Bell, Director of Family and Alumni Relations: Spencer Hagen, ’08, recently shared some memories of her time at Brook Hill that I am pleased to be allowed to share with you.

“I still remember the first day I met you and the first day of school, everyone made me feel so welcome.

I learned so much while I was there and I don’t feel that I’ve properly thanked everyone; so a HUGE thanks to you and everyone that impacted my life there.

Mr. Travis’ wise words and courage he showed as a teacher by not only walking with us in our struggles but also letting us know he struggled taught me so much more than any English lesson.

I am truly grateful for the education I received and all the lessons I learned.  Thank you.”

Spencer is now enjoying a career in mortgage banking in Houston.  However, she says she may never get used to the big city traffic after growing up in Rusk!
