From the desk of Ginger Bell, Director of Family and Alumni Relations: Tyesha Jackson graduated Brook Hill in May, 2012 and headed off to Trinity University in San Antonio intent on pursuing premed as the first step toward becoming a doctor like her daddy.  But, in her words, ” During my sophomore year, I realized that this is not what I was called to do. Too many things were going wrong for this to be the path God wanted me to take. So I looked around and prayed, and with the MUCH appreciated help of my momma, I was able to transfer to UT Tyler and applied for …their accelerated nursing program. I must say I worked my tail off taking summer and currently fall classes playing catch up with credits so that I would be eligible to start in the spring. Needless to say I am SO excited to be announcing that I have been accepted into the program! I’m so grateful to have my wonderful momma in my corner and a God who has grown my faith in Him by having faith in me.”  It’s exciting to see our alum seeking God’s plan and recognizing His hand guiding them.  Isn’t this what we all pray for our children.  We are so proud for you, Ty, and will continue following you as you continue this journey.
