Aquatic Ecosystems at Brook Hill

The AP Environmental Science class has been learning about the importance of certain insects that start their lives in the bottom of streams and ponds. They took a short walk to the pond in front of Founder’s Hall this week to get a first-hand look at these insects. They found many different types of organisms including dragonflies, damselflies, water beetles, leeches, and even a small crawfish, indicating that the pond is a very healthy and productive body of water.
