The Brook Hill School is proud to announce that one of its seniors, Ayotomi Fadase, has been awarded a full four-year scholarship to the University of Chicago through the QuestBridge National College Match.

Ayotomi Fadase, a boarding student at Brook Hill, is set to commence the next chapter of her academic journey at the prestigious University of Chicago. Having spent her entire high school career at Brook Hill, Ayotomi is a standout student with a passion for neuroscience, particularly focusing on the study and research of Autism Spectrum Disorder and mental health comorbidities.

Expressing her enthusiasm about the opportunity, Ayotomi shared, “I am excited about attending the University of Chicago with the opportunity to live in such a vibrant city, with its diversity and opportunities.”

QuestBridge, a national nonprofit organization, recently revealed the outcomes of its 2023 National College Match program, connecting high-achieving high school seniors with full four-year scholarships to 50 of the nation’s top colleges. Out of an impressive pool of over 20,800 applicants, Ayotomi Fadase emerged as one of the 6,683 Finalists considered for the QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship.

This year, QuestBridge’s 50 college partners selected 2,242 Finalists, including Ayotomi Fadase, who are now recognized as Match Scholarship Recipients. The 2023 cohort represents the highest number of Match Scholarship Recipients to date for QuestBridge.

“We are thrilled to welcome this historic number of QuestBridge Scholars,” said Ana Rowena Mallari, Co-Founder and CEO of QuestBridge. “These Scholars will bring a depth of thought and range of experiences to our college partner campuses that will surely enrich their new communities.”

Match Scholarship Recipients, including Ayotomi Fadase, are admitted early to QuestBridge college partners with full four-year scholarships provided by the colleges and universities. This ensures that an education at a top college is affordable for these students and their families. The Match Scholarship covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, housing, food, books and supplies, and travel expenses, without the need for loans or a parental contribution.

This year’s Match Scholarship Recipients, hailing from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, showcase remarkable academic achievements. With an average unweighted GPA of 3.94, 93% of the students are in the top 10% of their graduating class.

Since its inception in 2003, the QuestBridge National College Match has successfully connected over 14,500 students with full scholarships at college partners. Ayotomi Fadase and the other 2023 Match Scholarship Recipients will be the first QuestBridge Scholars for the Class of 2028.

All Finalists who matriculate to QuestBridge college partners become part of the QuestBridge Scholars Network, connecting them to a community of like-minded peers. Additionally, QuestBridge provides enriching programs for its Alumni, including opportunities like the Graduate School Match: MBA, offering full-tuition scholarships to top business schools. The QuestBridge Scholars Network and Alumni Association now boast over 25,000 current college students and graduates worldwide.
