Berryhill Family

Meet the Berryhills: JT, Nikki, Presleigh (Grade 6) and Jackson (Grade 5).The Berryhill family joined the Brook Hill Family this year, and we are so glad they did!

This Tyler family began looking at private schools last year in hopes of having a good school “family” for their children in their middle and upper school years. They shared, “We felt like the closest opportunity for a family-oriented experience for us all would be at Brook Hill.” Their inquiries came after recommendations from friends at Brook Hill who spoke highly of the school and “had nothing but wonderful things to say.”

In the Spring, Presleigh participated in our All-School Shadow Day during our Spring Admissions “Discovery Days.” Jackson shadowed at a later date, but both potential students “very much enjoyed their shadow day experiences.” For Presleigh, a rising 6th grader at the time, it was “the sense of responsible freedom in the students” that inclined her towards the Brook Hill Middle School. With opportunities to learn how to manage your time, explore new interests, and make mid-morning trips to The Cabin Coffeehouse (a favorite perk of Brook Hill for this family!), Presleigh was happy to make the move. Jackson shadowed at the Lower School, and after his experience, the family decided to move him over as well – a year earlier than originally planned!

The Berryhills were searching for a comprehensive experience in addition to challenging academics. Their children have different passions: their daughter, Presleigh, being captivated by the arts and their son, Jackson, being interested in athletics. They felt like both were exceedingly met here.

We asked the Berryhills what they have loved about Brook Hill since starting, and they shared, “Really, the commitment to our children’s well being and personal growth from both their teachers and administrators.” They shared further that everyone has been so welcoming and generous to their family, and we are so glad.

If you’re interested in attending a Brook Hill admissions event, the Berryhills would tell you, “Once you experience Brook Hill from the inside, it’s hard not see yourself being a part of it for generations.”

We are so thankful to have the Berryhills a part of The Brook Hill family!
