BROOK HILL STUDENTS HONORED FOR LEADERSHIP BY ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARDS (RYLA)

Congratulations to Emily Livesay and TyJuan Cannon for being selected as the Rotary Youth Leadership Award winners to represent Brook Hill!

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards started in 1960 and is an international program that was created by Rotary International to encourage strong leadership in youth.

Out of the Junior class, six students were nominated by the faculty and staff. These six students were TyJuan Cannon, Mattie Cheatham, Landry Graves, Emily Livesay, Ben Lundy, and Khue Tran. This group of outstanding students were interviewed by members of the South Tyler Rotary this past week and Emily and TyJuan were chosen to represent Brook Hill in February when they attend RYLA camp!

RYLA Camp is a leadership camp for high school juniors that focuses on building core leadership traits. The activities planned will push them to think outside the box, stretch their imaginations, grow as individuals and a team, and recognize their own leadership abilities. Our mission is to develop students holistically so we’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations like the Rotary Club to foster leadership and potential!
