On three separate Saturdays over the past month, several BH middle school and upper school choir members have competed in the Texas Music Educators Association All-Region Choir auditions. These students were required to learn music above and beyond what we learn in the classroom and sing for a judge, competing against hundreds of singers from all across East Texas, including both public and private schools, 1A-5A. Each student was also required to sight-read a line of music after only having 30 seconds to review it, and they only got once chance to sing it. That’s a lot of pressure! Brook Hill Upper School students earning spots were Claire Dixon, Chipper Adams, and Lauren Eden. Middle School students earning places were Peyton Adams. Sawyer Hayes, Cate Kimball, and Zoe Ward. I’m very proud of these students for their hard work and dedication. On November 8 you will have an opportunity to hear them perform with their respective choirs at The Cowan Center on the campus of UT Tyler. Congratulate these diligent students
