The Brook Hill Guard Chorale competed at the TAPPS District Large Ensemble/Sight-reading contest at Grace Community School on Thursday. The Guard Chorale received Superior ratings in both categories and will now advance to the TAPPS state meet in Belton later in March. Previously the choir also qualified 10 soloists, 2 sacred ensembles, and a ladies’ ensemble for the state meet.
The Brook Hill Varsity Orchestra’s Superior ratings in sight reading, large ensemble, and Jazz at Thursday’s TAPPS Regional Music contest, along with their Superior ratings earned at the TAPPS Solo & Small Ensemble contest earlier this month, gives them a total of eleven events to take to the TAPPS State Music contest held at University at Mary-Hardin Baylor on March 27th! What an incredible achievement for a group of 15 students – 15 amazing and hard-working musicians! Please congratulate these students when you see them!
