Christianity & The Founding Fathers (Washington DC)
Eighth grade visited the sites in Washington, D.C. to gain a better understanding of the relationship between our Christian faith and the founding of our nation. We took tours of the various memorials as well as the Smithsonian Museums, the Holocaust Museum, Washington Monument, Arlington National Cemetery, Mt.Vernon, and other sites. A private tour of the Capitol with Representative Louie Gohmert wast the highlight of the trip. Students were given the chance to interact with the culture, politics, and heritage of our nation in a way that inspired in them a love of country that will last a lifetime. The trip ended with a fun-filled evening on the Potomac River Spirit Dinner and Dance Cruise.
