General Visits U.S. History Class

Last week, our U.S. History class was honored to have General James Anderson as its guest lecturer. During the Vietnam War, General Anderson, along with General Creighton Abrams, discussed with President Richard Nixon at the White House the need to eliminate enemy supply depots in neighboring Cambodia. With the President’s approval, General Anderson personally led the dangerous mission which resulted in the destruction of huge amounts of supplies and equipment. His talk centered on “commitment” and his promise to bring home any men who were killed on the mission. He kept his promise.
General Anderson is the grandfather of Jake and Samantha Anderson (class of 2015).
