JV boys rally twice, but fall short in hoops losses

Brook Hill JV boys basketball was on the wrong end of scoreboard in losses to Dallas Christian and Carrollton Prince of Peace.

In both games, the Guard rallied back from big deficits only to be overtaken at the end. Brook Hill JV lost to Dallas Christian 42-30, rallying back from a 23-11 deficit to pull within a basket late in the third quarter.

“The team showed a lot of character (by rallying back),” Coach Kyle Ford said. We have some things to work on, but I think we have the right players and the right attitude to fix them.”

The Guard JV produced even more fireworks later in the week to rally back from a 20-point deficit to Prince of Peace before succumbing 59-47, which dropped Brook Hill JV boys basketball record to 11-5.

“Again the guys made a huge comeback in the fourth quarter,” Coach Ford said. “But we have got to start playing harder from the beginning of the game.”
