Lady Guard middle school soccer splits with Grace, All Saints

Brook Hill middle school girls soccer achieved the program’s first win earlier this month, and the Lady Guard did it in impressive fashion, with a 4-0 victory over Tyler All Saints MS.

Caroline Welty scored two goals with Katelynn Henics and Katherine Mondrik also hitting the back of the net for the Lady Guard, who received a clean sheet from goalkeeper Lauren Wright.

The victory was a nice bounce back from Brook Hill MS dropping its season opener, 6-1, to Tyler Grace Community Middle School. Mondrik scored and Wright finished with eight saves in the loss.

Brook Hill faces a rematch with All Saints, this time on the road. The game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Mewbourne Stadium in Tyler.
