Katherine Stair scored two goals with Morgan Carpenter adding another to lead the Brook Hill Lady Guard past Dallas Christian 3-1 in their TAPPS Division II District 2 opener.

Stair and Jaylen Wheat combined for the Lady Guard’s first goal with Carpenter benefiting from a Wheat pass for her goal also. Stair scored her second unassisted.

The victory kept Brook Hill (4-0) undefeated while the Lady Guard also start league play at 1-0.

“It was a great game played by the girls and good start to district,” Coach David Collins said.

Collins added that strong play in the midfield by Stair and Wheat,  coupled with Morgan Moss and Blessing Kima on defense, kept the Lady Guard in control throughout.

Lady Guard keeper Heather McLarry finished with six saves.
