Brook Hill lost to Frisco Legacy Christian Thursday in a hard-fought match at Herrington Gym.

The Lady Guard were denied, 25-19, 21-25, 25-22, 25-23 with every game seemingly going the distance.

Senior Emily Webb finished with a team-high 10 kills and 5 blocks with fellow senior Charlie Niles delivering 5 kills and 11 assists. Junior Mia Martinico led the Lady Guard with 13 assists while junior Brianna Young totaling a team-high 23 digs.

The loss evened the Lady Guard’s TAPPS District 2-4A record to 7-7 with two matches remaining. The first is Tuesday against Tyler All Saints. It is Senior Night with the action scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Herrington Gym.

Lady Guard coach Candise Wise her team is hoping for a big crowd on “Senior Night.”

“We would love a lot of support for our girls as we work to secure a spot in the playoffs,” Wise said.

The seniors to be honored before the match are Charlie Niles, Emily Webb, Maddie Parker, Lexi Crenshaw, Morgan Moss and Katherine Stair.
