EUSTACE — Brook Hill swept through its three matches Saturday to win the Gold Bracket title at the Eustace Tournament.

The Lady Guard eased past Fruitvale and Kemp before meeting Edgewood in the championship. After the teams split the first two sets, Brook Hill raced away from Edgewood in the clinching third set to take the match and the title, 25-15, 22-25, 25-15.

Brook Hill received offense from multiple sources in the Gold Bracket championship win, led by freshman Katherine Modrick and sophomore Morgan Carpenter, who finished with five kills apiece. Lady Guard seniors Kay Kay Smith and Megan Priddy powered down four kills with juniors Maddie Anthony and Zoe Hayes also finishing with four kills.

Piloting the offense was senior setter Lauren Eden and Anthony with Eden totaling a team-high 12 assists with Anthony adding 10 assists.  Senior Brianna Young handled the defense with the libero leading the team with 29 assists. Young also was big on the service line, finishing with five aces.

The third set was the difference as Brook Hill had only three hitting errors while putting away 11 kills as a team.

Brook Hill is now 11-4 on the season.
