Dr. Stan Ward hosted a forum on beliefs and theories of beginnings for Mrs. Brunson’s biology students.  Topics covered included biblical creation beliefs, evolution theories, cultural beliefs, intelligent design and irreducible complexity. It was a huge opportunity for us to integrate faith and learning in the classroom, discuss various viewpoints, and learn the theological consequences of each perspective. These are the kinds of discussions that make a Christian education so valuable, as our students are able to study and interact with their subject, guided by teachers with a heart and love for Christ and his Kingdom. Learning these perspectives, their advantages and flaws, and also what they say theologically about our God, helps prepare students for college and the conversations they will also have there with professors and classmates.
